Mission Statement

The Mission of St. Bernadette Catholic School is to serve the children, to teach Catholic values, and to have as a role model, Jesus Christ - the Master Teacher.  Our students are the primary focus of our entire program, and our staff is dedicated to fostering the spiritual, emotional, social and academic success of each student in a safe environment.

Statement of Belief

Because St. Bernadette Catholic School is Christ centered, we teach as Jesus taught by reinforcing Christian values, community, responsibilities, and by encouraging every child to develop his/her full potential and uniqueness.

WE BELIEVE

  • That the experiences of Faith modeling at St. Bernadette, expressed through Liturgy, Prayer, Service and Community, provide our students with the Gospel values and Catholic Tradition, which will sustain them now and in the future.

  • That our School will provide an environment where students believe that they are physically and emotionally safe from harm, bullying, and discrimination because tolerance, acceptance and respect are the characteristics of relationships promoted by all members of this Christ centered Community.

  • That parents, as the primary educators of their children, are responsible for their child’s continuous growth and development, by educating the whole child through Church and School involvement.

  • That the cultural diversity of the student population here at St. Bernadette provides an environment for teaching tolerance and acceptance, allowing the St. Bernadette Community to grow in its awareness and appreciation of living in a diverse and multicultural world.

  • That by using a variety or teaching styles, instructional techniques, and concepts, all students placed in this school have the potential for a successful future.

  • That all students develop the ability to analyze and solve problems logically; develop creative and critical thinking skills, and the technological skills and global awareness to be able to take their place n our ever-changing world.
